I am delighted to announce that registration is now open for Research Connections, the University of Oxford Research Staff Conference, on 11 July at the Examination Schools.
The conference will highlight important, and often neglected, aspects of developing a research career: connections with other disciplines, connections with the public, connections with those who make use of research, and connections with other researchers both within and beyond the University.
We are delighted that the Vice Chancellor will open the conference to welcome Oxford’s researchers to this event and that many of Oxford’s distinguished academics will be speaking. The day will involve plenary talks, panel discussions, and breakout sessions, as well as lunch and a drinks reception at which the Oxford Research Staff Society will be officially re-launched. There is no charge to attend. It is aimed in particular at early career researchers, but all research staff are welcome to attend.
The conference website is at www.learning.ox.ac.uk/researchconnections, where there is further information about the programme, speakers, exhibitors, and registration.
Please don’t hesitate to contact Laura Hodson if you have any queries or would like any further information.
