“A walk through the centre of Oxford and its medieval university, tracing the history of the city, from its beginnings as a river crossing for Oxen to its development as the UK’s oldest university. From the famous ‘Town and Gown Riots’ of the 13th and 14th century to the development of the automobile industry and the scientific research and innovation of the 20th and 21st century. You will see colleges where many famous people have studied, including heads of state, politicians, writers, actors poets, scientists and even kings and queens”.
The banquet will take place at 7.30pm in the 400 years old Hall of Wadham College, preceded by a drink reception at 7pm. Wadham College is walking distance from the conference venue. See here for directions.
