Interests

My main interests are currently in trust and reputation. Trust is a multi-faceted concept which can (and should) be tackled through multiple disciplines and methodologies; my particular angle is through formalisation. My current work is focusing on formalising attacks against theoretical models of reputation and trying to understand how they may manifest in practice. My background is in theoretical computer science, security and physics with a focus on formal languages, cryptography and statistical mechanics.

I have strong interests in social and psychological phenomena also (still with a leaning towards formal, theoretical work). As such, I enjoy keeping an eye on work in analytical sociology which is a growing area with a lot of potential. More broadly, I am interested in studying the exploitation and defence of sociological phenomena (such as trust) through a formal lens.
