From Time to Time Archaeologists

From time to time archaeologists discover the skeleton of a young adult buried under some standing stone or megalithic monument. A standard explanation is that the monument marks a burial and that the skeleton is that of a royal, or otherwise significant person. It seems to us to be more likely that this is something along the lines of what in the sixties was known as a motorway flyover job. Not we suppose that they had all that many motorway flyovers back in neolithic times but we see no reason to suppose that there was a particular shortage of the Mob or Kray Twins. Someone is going to be putting up this megalithic bypass, and you have the remains of a somewhat inconvenient anvil to dispose of. What better way?
