Signs of Curling

The great thing about border-hopping is that you get to notice those clever things that occurred to someone in one country but not in the other. Like the No Entry signs in Norway, which are bent.

Like curled.

Like old British Rail sandwiches.

Rolled around a cylinder with a vertical axis.

At first I thought it was simply a sign that Norwegian bus drivers were just less careful, but after a few dozen sightings it finally dawned on me: it is bloody brilliant. It is so that you can see the sign from sideways on, before attempting the illegal turn.

So why are the No Entry signs everywhere else flat?

I also got to notice that Norway was colder than other places.
