I want a copy of Master Dos and Master Basic, and details of anything new and interresting. I heard that Zat sell Sam software but I don't have the address. Also has anybody ever been able to get any decient samples from the Blue Alpha Sampler. Mine seems to pick up a ton of static and noise. The only way to get half decient samples is to run them through a friends Arch. sample program and filter the noise out. The Sam won't play them after that though. I've heard some nice samples that other people have done but have never had any joy myself. Is the Sam Supplement still going? I've got up to issue 15. Yes - it was bugged - but you'll get a unbugged, and apparently an improved version when you return the disc for a new copy. But what difference does that make? It's an excellent game - on of the best on Sam - I ordered it way back in Novemeber - and it was well worth the wait. ============================================================================ | | ____ __ _ _ __________ | | | / ___\ | \ | \ | \\ _ / | | Colin G. If I did, it might look like this... 1) Favourite Program on Sam. Um, dunno really. 2) Favourite Game on Sam. Dunno... 3) Favourite Demo on Sam. No idea - I'm not into demos. 4) Program with best Music. Ghosts 'n' Ghouls. Oh, you mean a *Sam* game? :-) 5) Program with best graphics. Any art program - if you draw the graphics yourself and think they're really good. :-) 6) Type of games you would like to see on Sam. Good ones. 7) Utilities you would like to see on Sam. TeX, gcc (or do you mean utilities that are possible?). Anything I've written (so I can get some cash :-) ). 8) Any other comments.... I would love to see some decent utils & some good games, plus hear some good music and marvel at some wonderful graphics. Mind you, you've got to take it in perspective, there _have_ been some good games. OK, they're not up to the standard of Amiga & PC stuff nowadays, but there's no way they can be. P of P was very good, Lemmings looks equally impressive. OK, maybe they're not as fast or as smooth as the bigger machines' versions, but even so... Music wise, things are on the up with a new sampling system in the pipeline, which allows samples to beplayed without the sampler attached, and hopefully while other things are going on as well, but we'll have to see about that. There's no reason at all why we shouldn't see some decent music if the sound chip can be combined with a sample player, or some decent graphics if the graphics board that is being worked on is as good as it sounds.
