Chaste - Downloads
As an alternative to downloading one of the source releases below, read-only access to the latest development version of Chaste is available via our Subversion repository. Details on how to access this can be found on our developers' wiki here. This access is provided with the caveat that the code is always in development (and the latest revision is not guaranteed to be passing all tests), and we will not be able to provide full support for between-release versions of the code. New users should therefore download one of the release versions below.
Getting started
Once you have downloaded the cardiac binary or the source code, we suggest you:- Cardiac binary: look at the README.txt and the files in docs folder.
- Source code: the README.txt file that comes with the source code, and the files in the docs folder of the source release, especially the docs/INSTALLATION.txt file
- Binary and source code:
- Look at the documentation page for a list of documentation associated with the release you have downloaded.
- Go to the Chaste developers' wiki, and see the Chaste Guides section. This is a comprehensive guide to setting up and running Chaste, including example simulations and code tutorials, extra installation instructions, reference material, code documentation, and more. Note that it will be altered to follow the latest development version of the code, so may not match a release version.
Citing Chaste
If you publish a paper using Chaste, we would very much appreciate it if you would cite our work. The best option is our 2009 overview paper published in Computer Physics Communications. Other publications are listed on our publications page.
