Speaker bio

Dr Chris Hargreaves is a lecturer at the Centre for Forensic Computing and Security, Cranfield University. His research interests are broad and include timeline analysis, visualisations for digital forensics, encrypted evidence, live investigations, footprints of live tools, memory acquisition and analysis, Internet history reconstruction, and future challenges for digital forensics. In addition to research, Chris teaches on several of the post-graduate modules on the PgCert, PgDip and MSc in Forensic Computing, including: Digital Crime and Investigation, Forensic Computing Foundations, Internet Forensics, Advanced Forensics, Forensic Computing Using Linux. He also manages the modules on Mac OS Forensics and Programming for Digital Forensics. Chris has previously written monthly columns for Forensic Focus and has presented to the Wiltshire BCS on the topic of Forensic Computing Research. Chris is part of the Technical Program Committee for The Annual Workshop on Digital Forensics and Incident Analysis (WDFIA) and on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Digital Investigation.

He was co-investigator on the EPSRC funded project "Making Sense" which involved the development of an automated timeline analysis tool for digital forensics.
