Legal Concepts in Cybersecurity: A US and UK update and comparison

A key topic in today's news is Cybersecurity, and a growing field of great interdisciplinary interest is the intersection of Cybersecurity and the Law.   

This talk will provide an update to US and UK laws affecting cybersecurity and related areas such as privacy.  This will include new proposed US and UK laws on cybersecurity, comparison between jurisdictions, compliance matters, and ends with a discussion of loopholes and recommendations.    

Speaker bio

Rajeev Sachdev is an English Solicitor, US Lawyer, and graduate student in the Department of Computer Science at Oxford studying Software and Systems Security. He holds several degrees including a Masters in Law (E-Commerce Law concentration) and an MBA. He was a Visiting Researcher at University of California-Berkeley Law and has spoken on related technology and law topics at various institutions such as Cambridge Faculty of Law, Stanford and others. He has taught more than 30 different courses.
