- for a non-expert audience
- new developments
- informal discussion
- delicious cakes
The "Cakes" seminars take place on Thursday noons from 12.30 to 13.30 of weeks 2,4,6,8 in Room 105. Since Hilary 2012, they have a new format and instead of cakes free lunches will be provided for the audience and the speaker.
These seminars are fairly informal, and provide a forum for members or friends of the Department of Computer Science to talk about aspects of their research.
Research students are usually asked to present one of these seminars in their second year of research.
