Contacts
Whom to contact?
Administrative matters: The Programme Office should be the first point of contact for general enquiries, module bookings, and for any administrative matter related to the operation of the Programme—including student registration. It is staffed from 09.00—17.00 during University terms and on most working days during the University vacations.
Academic matters: Students on the Programme are assigned a supervisor at the beginning of their period of study. This person can provide advice on course selection, progression to Diploma or MSc awards, and examination entry. They will also provide guidance on the choice of a suitable MSc project, and on the preparation of a dissertation. If a student chooses a project that is closer to the particular expertise of another member of the academic staff, then a change of supervisor may be appropriate. It may also be necessary to allocate a new supervisor should a member of staff take a period of leave. Participants who are not registered students—including those still in the process of applying for postgraduate study—do not have a supervisor. Their first point of contact on academic matters should be the Programme's Director of Studies.
Additional support: Students will also be assigned a college advisor. This person will be able to provide general academic or pastoral advice, and act as an additional point of contact with the University.
Problems: If a participant or student has a problem or question that they would prefer not to raise with the Office, with their supervisor, with their College, or with the Director of Studies, then they should contact the Programme Director.
