Abstract
LogMap is a highly optimised ontology matching system developed by members of the Knowledge Representation and Reasoning Group with EPSRC funding (see http://www.cs.ox.ac.uk/projects/LogMap/index.html for details). In applications requiring very accurate mappings, user intervention during the matching process becomes essential. LogMap implements basic features allowing domain experts to interactively contribute to the matching process. These features are, however, still rather rudimentary. The main goal of this project is to extend and improve LogMap's support for interactive ontology matching. From an algorithmic point of view, the main challenge is to limit to a minimum the number of questions that need to be asked to a human expert, while maximising the benefit of experts' feedback. From an application development point of view, the main goal is to develop a graphical front-end for LogMap that facilitates user interaction.
