The department holds funding from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) to support a number of Home fee status research students per year. These awards cover fees at the Home rate and a stipend at the standard UKRI rate. All applicants for the DPhil with a home fee status will automatically be considered for this funding.
Students with an Overseas fee status are also considered for a small number of the awards from EPSRC. There is no separate application for these awards, but competition is strong.
In addition, the Department regularly advertises studentships funded by various partners, sponsors and the department.
Candidates are encouraged to make informal equiries to the member of Faculty listed in each of the studentships. Candiates must submit a graduate application and are expected to meet the gradute admissions criteria. Details will be provided below when studentships become available.
