The strategic longer and larger (sLoLa) grants call is held annually. Funding typically supports integrated research projects requiring long timescales, extensive resources and/or multidisciplinary approaches.

Proposals must be over £2M (FEC project value) and can be up to 5 years in duration.

The application process has two stages:

• Outline applications must be submitted initially. Outlines must be submitted via Je-S. They should not exceed the page limits described in the following sections. Submissions which exceed page limits will be withdrawn
• After assessment of the outlines, selected applicants will be invited to submit full applications

This year the outline application deadline is 9 April 2014, 4pm.
