Big Data – Open Data available from government institutions

Discover what data is already available from within government funded organisations

20th August 2014, Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC), Rutherford Appleton Laboratory

This unique day is aimed at any personnel within government departments that have an interest in the Open/Big Data agenda.

Its goal is to show, in one day of short sessions, the huge amount of data, scientific and general, that is already available for use through Open Data agreements.  This data is already available for government, commercial, academic and third sector users to access and interrogate but its availability is largely unknown by the wider public.

This event will have speakers from a number of government funded/owned entities that hold large amounts of interesting data.
