Practical Sessions

There will be practical sessions Monday to Thursday between 3-5pm. The goal of the practicals is to enable students to deepen their understanding of the materials taught in the lectures, but also, to provide an opportunity to read research papers, reproduce results and generally engage in research. Thus, students will be allowed a sufficient degree of flexibility in choosing their submission. Students may deviate from the two suggestions below, but they should confirm with the lecturer in advance.

  1. Perform simulations of bandit algorithms in different settings to compare the algorithms to each other.
  2. Reproduce experiments from a bandit-related paper of your choice (a list of suggestions will be posted on the website, but students will be permitted to choose their own, provided the topic is reasonable)
