Accommodation »

Oxford has a wide variety of places to stay, including college accommodation, hotels, hostels, and in particular many bed and breakfasts (B&Bs) and guest houses. We would in particular recommend the B&Bs since they tend to be much cheaper than hotels, are easier to book than college accommodation, and the British breakfast keeps you going for the whole day. Particularly well located are Cotswolds, Rewley House, Linton Lodge, Parklands and Galaxie Hotel.

You first want to pick Central and Jericho, then Summertown, Botley Road, Abingdon Road, Cowley Road Area (the multicultural downtown of Oxford), Iffley Road, and Wolvercote. These still allow you to walk to the Department in less than 30 minutes and have good bus connections too. This interactive page classifies B&B's by rating. Here is a more comprehensive listing of all B&Bs, a comprehensive listing of all hotels and a comprehensive listing of all hostels. Here is the most comprehensive listing where you can search by location and other preferences and allows a quick check of availability.
