Important report 'Are we ready in Latin America and the Caribbean?' highlights vulnerability to cybercrime

A new report, based on research by the Global Cyber Security Capacity Centre at Oxford has just been released. The Organisation of American States report 'Are we ready in Latin America and the Caribbean?’ is the first time so many countries have ever been evaluated with the same framework. The report uses a model devised by the Capacity Centre (linking Computer Science and Social Science researchers) to look at the state of preparedness of 32 countries, based on 49 indicators. It is the first significant examination of the level of preparedness in Latin America and the Caribbean against the growing threat of cybercrime.
