Busy boating bees

This year the department once again took part in the annual charity Dragon Boat race.

We entered our team, ‘The Floating Points’, dressed as very bright bumble bees complete with wings and antennae –  our competition were pirates, warriors, trojans, ducks …and even ‘pink ladies’. 

Despite starting the day with a very depleted team, we managed to recruit friends and family (as well as strangers!) who had started the day coming to watch. We came second in the fancy dress category and rowed our way roughly half way up the leader board of 21 competing teams.

Everyone worked together and made the day a huge success and seemed to have a lot of fun.
