Learn more about the history of computing beyond the computer

The Oxford Mathematics Institute and the British Society for the History of Mathematics will host a session on the ‘History of Computing beyond the Computer’ on 21-22 March. It will focus on the people and the science underpinning modern programming, from Charles Babbage’s hardware design language to the systematic exclusion of women.

Speakers will be Marie Hicks, Andrew Hodges, Adrian Johnstone, Cliff Jones, Julianne Nyhan, Cliff Jones, Mark Priestly and Reinhard Siegmund-Schultze.
