Open Days for prospective undergraduates

Posted:

Open days for prospective undergraduate (first degree) students will be held at the Department on Wednesday 6th and Thursday 7th July, and on Friday 16th September 2011.

Open days are held at the Department to provide you with an opportunity to meet current staff and students, to see demonstrations of project work done by our students and the research work of the Department, to hear about university-level Computer Science, and to get answers to any questions you have. The open days coincide with open days in other departments, and Colleges across the University.

Feedback from previous events: "Thank you so much for your hospitality and friendliness and the recent event. My daughter and I both enjoyed the day greatly. The informality and welcoming atmosphere were just what was needed to encourage her and her friends to think seriously about applying. It helped to dispel some of her prejudices about Oxford - she now seems keen on the idea of applying!" Daxi, parent of prospective student, Kent

Individuals and family groups do not need to book for the open days in July or September. If you are a teacher intending to bring a larger party of potential applicants to one of the open days, please contact Wendy Adams via opendays@cs.ox.ac.uk or Tel. 01865 283559, giving the name of your school, the date of the open day, and the names of pupils you intend to bring. This will help us to ensure that spaces are available for you.
