Information Systems Poster & Demo lunch (25th November 2014)

Posted:

The information systems group at Oxford are world leaders in semantics-aware information systems -- a new kind of information system that combines semantic technologies and databases to facilitate access to and integration of large and heterogeneous data sources (see http://dbonto.cs.ox.ac.uk/).

If you are interested in pursuing a 3rd year/4th year/MSc/MFOCs project and/or  doctoral research and/or a career with companies such as Facebook, IBM, Oracle and Siemens -- all of whom are working with us in this area -- then why not join us for a lunchtime poster & demo session at which you can get more information and talk to current doctoral students, post-doctoral researchers and faculty (and enjoy some free pizza and pastries).

IMPORTANT DETAILS:

Date and time: Tuesday 25th November, 12pm-2pm

Place: The computer science atrium

Lunch: A buffet lunch consisting of pizza and pastries will be provided

The event is open to all, but it would be helpful if those planning to attend could email Karen Barnes (karen.barnes@cs.ox.ac.uk) so we can get some idea as to numbers.
