New graduate scholarship in Computer Science and Philosophy

Posted:

A new graduate scholarship in Computer Science and Philosophy starting in Michaelmas 2016 has been announced by Hertford College. The Oxford Mary Jane Grefenstette Scholarship is fully-funded, covering all fees and a living stipend. It has been created in response to a generous donation from former member of the Department of Computer Science and Hertford lecturer, Dr Ed Grefenstette. “I am delighted by this donation”, said Professor Mike Wooldridge, Hertford Fellow and Head of the Department of Computer Science. “Our undergraduate degree in Computing and Philosophy is one of the most exciting degrees we’ve introduced at Oxford, and Hertford is absolutely central to the programme. This donation clearly signals our desire to expand Computing and Philosophy into the postgraduate arena, and we are enormously grateful to Dr Grefenstette for making this possible." The scholarship will be advertised later this year, with a deadline of January 2016. Further details will be announced on Hertford’s Graduate Scholarships page in due course.
