Four DPhil students - Vincent F. Taylor, Elizabeth Phillips, Ranjbar Balisane and Bushra AlAhmadi have received student scholarships to attend the forthcoming Black Hat conference.

Black Hat USA is the premier computer security conference attracting over 9,000 security experts and over 150 top companies. This annual conference offers 6 days of training, networking, and skills building.

For the second year running, Black Hat is offering student scholarships in the form of conference passes to the very best student applicants as a way to introduce the younger generation to the computer security community.  The selection process for the scholarship is highly selective and attracts application from all over the world.

This year, Vincent, Elizabeth, Ranjbar and Bushra were awarded one of the student scholarships and will now have the opportunity to attend Black Hat USA to expand their knowledge, learn new skills, and meet security professionals. All four students are part of Oxford's CDT (Center for Doctoral Training) in Cyber Security.
