Background

Gareth Digby has a B.Sc. and a Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Wales Swansea. He has held lectureships at University of Wales Swansea and University of Birmingham.

Gareth Digby is a Principal Systems Engineer with Vitech Corporation. He mentors clients on the use of model-based systems engineering to deliver successful system designs. He trains clients on system thinking to analyze and assess system-based problems. He focuses on systems architecture and systems engineering relating to the application of computing, networking and communication technologies across multiple industrial and commercial sectors.

Previous tenures with other employers involved failure analysis investigations and rapid development projects involving electrical, electronic and computing systems. At Thales Land & Joint Systems, he performed systems engineering and developed systems architectures for tactical military communications systems. While at Numerical Objects Ltd and Rust Kennedy & Donkin Ltd, he dealt with the management of system design and integration issues associated with railway systems delivery for London Underground Limited.

Gareth Digby is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Maryland. He is also a Chartered Engineer registered with the UK Engineering Council and a European Engineer registered with the European Federation of National Engineering Associations. Dr. Digby is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering & Technology. Dr. Digby has the Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI) certification from EC-Council and has the Certified SCADA Security Architect certification from the Information Assurance Certification Review Board.
