Travel

The main Oxford University website provides advice on travel to Oxford. The department is a brisk 15-minute walk from the railway station, or a brisk 10-minute walk from the bus station, but taxis are readily available. The map on this page shows the immediate surroundings of the Wolfson Building and Oxford e-Science Laboratory. The Department of Computer Science is on the corner of Keble Road and Parks Road, with the main entrance on Parks Road. A map of the city centre (pdf) and a more detailed map of the University Science area can be found, along with other maps of the city centre on the Oxford University website.

Note that the road junction between Keble Road and Banbury Road is closed to motor vehicles. Access from Banbury Road is now via the junction with Parks Road at the northern end of the "Keble Road triangle".

To use a mapping service (such as Multimap or Streetmap) or a route planning service (such as RAC Route Planner or Google Maps) please use postcode OX1 3QD.

Public parking in the city centre is very limited and the best advice for those coming by car is probably to use the Park & Ride services on the city outskirts (see map). However, "Pay and display" parking for up to two hours (at £1.50/hour) is usually available on Keble Road.
