"Extensions of the square root law of steganography"

Supervisor

Suitable for

MSc in Advanced Computer Science

Abstract

This is a theoretical project that aims to prove probabilistic results relating to the capacity of different types of cover to conceal a hidden message. It will use tools of probability, information theory, and mathematics. An advanced square root law can be found at http://www.cs.ox.ac.uk/andrew.ker/docs/ADK71B.pdf, and this project either aim for elementary proofs of special cases of that result, or elementary extensions, or to find counterexamples to illustrate that the hypotheses are necessary. Suitable for a student with a background in mathematics who has taken the Probability & Computing option.
