Paul is Senior Security Advisor in Cisco's Corporate Security Programs Organisation (CSPO). He reports to the Chief Security Officer (CSO) and advises on security matters, from specific internal and external threats to policy issues. Paul carries out research into the detection of sophisticated targeted attacks, especially using big data analysis techniques. This work also covers insider threats. He works very closely with commercial organizations, especially within the financial and government sectors. Since joining the company in early 1994, Paul has worked with many of the company's largest customers, and is a frequent public speaker on a variety of security related issues especially cyber security, protection of national infrastructure and corporate espionage. In his current capacity as Senior Security Advisor, Paul also represents Cisco in various UK Government departments such as the Home Office and Law Enforcement Agencies. Paul represents Cisco on the UK's Centre for Protection of National Infrastructure’s (CPNI) Information Exchanges where he is currently the chairman of one Information Exchange.
