Network(ed) Search, Navigation and Communication with Mobile Entities

Leszek Gąsieniec ( University of Liverpool )

Amid the advent of ad-hoc, not well-structured, large, and (very often) dynamic network environments a natural need arises for more robust, universal, and inexpensive distributed network protocols. The purpose of these protocols is to support network formation and integrity mechanisms as well as more dedicated tasks such as information dissemination, network search and exploration, network monitoring and others.

We will provide a short survey of algorithmic problems in the field and conclude with open problems.
