Our Computer Science teaching ranks best in world

Teaching in Computer Science at the University of Oxford is the best in the world (94/100), according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2018 by Subject.

Oxford also came out top for Computer Science overall in the UK for the second year running. The rankings score research, teaching, international outlook, industry outcome and citations, and then provide an overall score which informs the ranking.

As well as scoring highest for teaching in the world, Computer Science at Oxford maintained its position as third in the world overall. 

Last year was the first time that the Times Higher Education had a dedicated league table for Computer Science. This year’s World University Ranking has expanded to include 300 institutions, up from 100 last year, while the threshold for the proportion of staff working in the relevant disciplines has decreased.
