Ismail Ilkan Ceylan (with Antoine Amarilli) has won the Best Paper Award at the 23rd International Conference on Database Theory (ICDT 2020), for their paper entitled A Dichotomy for Homomorphism-Closed Queries on Probabilistic Graphs, which can be accessed in the open proceedings:

The research was initiated during Antoine's visit to Oxford last year, and has been supported by the EPSRC project ‘RealPDBs: Realistic Data Models and Query Compilation for Large-Scale Probabilistic Databases’, where Ismail is a co-investigator.

ICDT 2020 was originally planned to take place in Copenhagen, Denmark between 30th of March — 2nd of April 2020, but has been turned into an online event due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the award was given as part of the online conference.
