Marcin Wrochna, a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Computer Science, working with supervisor Standa Zivny is the recipient of this year's 2020 Open Mind Prize. The prize is awarded biennially during the Polish Combinatorial Conference to a junior Polish researcher for outstanding research in combinatorics.
Marcin’s research results includes showing that square-free graphs are multiplicative, constructing a bipartite edge-transitive graph that is not weakly norming, and developing a framework for showing computational hardness of H-colouring for G-colourable graphs.
