The Global Cyber Security Capacity Centre (GCSCC) is happy to announce the appointment of Professor Davis S. Wall as new GCSCC Technical Board Member.

The Technical Board is part of the Cybersecurity Capacity Maturity Model for Nations (CMM) CMM review process. The goal of the deployment is to gather data about a country’s cybersecurity capacity landscape, which is used to produce an evidence-based report that is submitted to the government with recommendations.

There are seven members making up the Technical Board, four of whom are consultants who cover the various Dimensions of the CMM (explained in the link) and review the CMM reports produced by the researchers of the CMM review team.  All TB members engage in technical board/event planning/other meetings to facilitate the requirements of a particular CMM review.

David S. Wall is a Professor of Criminology in the Centre for Criminal Justice Studies, School of Law, University of Leeds, UK where he conducts interdisciplinary research into Cybercrimes and Cybersecurity in the Cloud, Ransomware, Policing Cybercrime and Organised Cybercrime.

During the past 30 years, he has published a wide range of articles and books on his research interests and has a sustained track record of interdisciplinary funded research in these areas.

He has been a member of various Governmental working groups on Cybercrime, and more recently he has worked with the Turing Institute and UNODC Expert panels on various cybercrime initiatives.
