Programming contest success for Department of Computer Science teams

Posted:

Our competitive programming teams have done very well in the UKIEPC (UK and Ireland Programming Contest), part of the International Collegiate Programming Contest series. Our team ‘we <3 ronnie’ took first place. They have already qualified for the 2023 World Finals.

The remaining two top Oxford teams, ‘2Palinca1Rakija’ and ‘Placeholder team name’ will go with coach Bartek Klin to the Netherlands to compete in the Northwestern European Regional Contest (see https://2022.nwerc.eu/), and fight for a chance to participate in the World Finals in 2023. The final scoreboard of the UKIEPC is available at https://ukiepc2022.cloudcontest.org/public

Head of Department Leslie Ann Goldberg comments, ‘I am so impressed by the performance of our teams, which was truly outstanding. I’d particular like to congratulate Viktor Kozhuharov and Harris Leung, who took first place despite working in this instance as a 2-person team!
