The Oxford Systems Biology Doctoral Training Centre to host Graduate Systems Biology Conference

Posted:

The Oxford Systems Biology Doctoral Training Centre will be host this year's Graduate Systems Biology Conference. The aim of the conference is to encourage the exchange of ideas among young researchers facing a highly interdisciplinary field and to offer an opportunity for students from different years to interact and present their research.

The organizers are inviting graduate students involved in Systems Biology research to present a talk (10 or 20 minutes) or poster at the conference. The conference is intended mainly for graduate students from the Manchester, Oxford and Warwick Systems Biology DTCs, however the organisers would like to encourage all students involved in Systems Biology research and interested in attending the conference to contact the committee to discuss presenting a talk or attending the conference.   If you are not an Oxford DTC student, but would like to attend only some of the talks you should also contact the organisers.

The conference will take place in Oxford on the 26th-27th of June and will consist of research talks given by students, a poster session and conference dinner. In addition to this, the committee hopes to invite a few plenary talks from some of the leading researchers and academics in the field.  As part of the two day conference there will be a free conference dinner on the 26th.

The registration deadline is 18th May and students are asked to register using the form on the website under the news section at http://www.sysbiodtc.ox.ac.uk/.
