Title: Athena Swan and Diversity and Inclusion at UCL’s Computer Science Department
Talk abstract: UCL Computer Science was awarded an Athena Swan Bronze award in 2012, and an Athena Swan Silver award in 2015 and 2019. We have also been recognised by Informatics Europe with presentation of two Minerva Informatics Equality Awards. Our approach to Athena Swan is structured around five key areas, which encompasses the work that we have conducted over the past eight years. I shall present some of the EDI projects that we have developed over the years and some of the approaches used to improve engagement with, and monitoring of our EDI objectives.
