A vision for inter-disciplinary research in Information Security

Information Security affects everyone today, whether as an issue of privacy, protection of digital assets and rights, corporate data on mobile devices, online shopping habits, cyber-warfare or old-fashioned fraud through modern means. Appropriate responses to such concerns, and controls for managing the associated risks, are often grounded in technical measures but it is very plain that they must draw on insights from a large number of other disciplines. In this talk we explore the extent of the challenge, and set out a vision for addressing it through inter-disciplinary research.
