Abstract

Small quad-rotor helicopters are now available that can fly indoors; for example, the AR-Drone (ardrone.parrot.com) carries a video camera and can be driven from an Android or iOS device, for which a suitable software library is now available. This project will develop software for such a helicopter. Possible specific projects might: attempt to fly the helicopter automatically; get the helicopter to look for open doorways; analyse the camera images; develop a game; etc.
