Description: Data protection law imposes various duties on companies to protect end-user’s rights and freedoms with respect to their ‘personal data’ (any data that be used to identify a person). This project will explore ways to automatically assess whether organisations are complying with their duties, using static and dynamic analyses of websites, apps and privacy policy text documents. Your proposed compliance detection methods can then be validated on a database containing information about flows of personal data between ~1 million companies.
