Abstract

Co-supervised by Systems Security Lab

In this project, you will be using state-of-the-art AI computer vision models that understand their environments (e.g. detect computer screens) and deploying them in novel scenarios on the latest XR (AR/VR) technologies: from NReal glasses, to Microsoft HoloLens, Oculus Quest 2. Your task will be to test and improve upon the robustness of computer vision models by deploying them in novel environments, evaluating their robustness, and building interesting applications around them. For example, this would allow you to build a “physical ad blocker” that would block out any digital advertisement, or privacy-preserving remote support application that allows sharing.
