We have an exciting new opportunity for a Research Associate with specific focus on cybersecurity maturity assessment, to work in the Global Cyber Security Capacity Centre (GCSCC), a flagship research centre and a global knowledge resource for effective cybersecurity capacity-building. This is located at the Department of Computer Science and is a programme of the Oxford Martin School, which specialises in supporting interdisciplinary research communities working to address the most pressing global challenges and opportunities of the 21st century.  For more information about the centre, please visit

Working closely with Professors Sadie Creese and Michael Goldsmith, with the guidance of other senior academics in the collaboration, you will support the research programme of the GCSCC Centre and its operationalisation on an international scale. An essential aspect of this post will be to work closely with high-level stakeholders in governments, regional and international organisations, academia and industry to promote and develop this work.

You will have a relevant PhD/DPhil in Computer Science or a related discipline or in a numerate Social Science subject OR comparable professional experience in a closely related field with international profile.  Experience of cybersecurity capacity-building activities, multi-disciplinary working, and working with senior officials of government and organizations is highly desirable.
