Fixed term for up to 12 months
Grade 7: £32,236 - £39,609 p.a.

The Department of Computer Science has a vacancy for a Research Associate in Systems Security (Wireless).  As a member of a research group led by Professor Ivan Martinovic, you will have the responsibility for carrying out research on wireless and avionic systems security.  You will also provide guidance to less experienced members of the group, including junior postdocs, research assistants, technicians, and PhD and project students.

You will hold a doctoral degree (or be close to completion) in Computer Science or related discipline, have an excellent publication track record, have experience in security analysis of wireless communication systems and safety-critical systems (especially in the transport domain), experience of using simulation to investigate safety and security issues, and extensive experience of working in aviation and avionic systems research.  Experience of independently managing a discrete area of a research project, and of actively collaborating in the development of research articles for publication is highly desirable.
