Research Lecturer in Computational Biology

RESEARCH LECTURER IN COMPUTATIONAL BIOLOGY
The Department of Computer Science proposes to appoint a Research Lecturer in Computational Biology with effect from 1 January 2012 or as soon as possible thereafter. The successful candidate will be offered a research lecturership, under arrangements described in the further particulars. The salary will be on a scale up to £57,431 per annum.
The successful candidate must have a PhD in mathematics or a related discipline and a record of internationally excellent research in Computational Biology. The appointee will be a full academic member of the Computational Biology group in the Department of Computer Science.
The appointee will be expected to have the ability to teach effectively over a wide range of computational topics, not exclusively in the area of his or her expertise as indicated in the further particulars.
