The position is for the purposes of teaching a one-week professional course in Agile Methods on the part-time professional MSc in Software Engineering. The course runs approximately twice per year; the successful candidate will be expected to be available to undertake these duties for the next three years—the next iteration is scheduled for the week of the  20th August  2012 with future iterations to be arranged on a mutually convenient basis.

You will provide pre-study material, six weeks in advance of the course; provide the course material, including appropriate exercises and solutions, three weeks in advance; lecture, teach, and demonstrate throughout the teaching week (0900 to 1700 Monday to Thursday, 0900 to 1230 Friday); and supervise the activities of a teaching assistant.

You should have a doctorate in an area related to Agile Methods. Ideally, you will be currently active in research in the area, and a regular participant at and contributor to its conferences and workshops.  Alternatively, you might be an experienced practitioner in the field, and able to disseminate your experience through the course.

For further particulars see under documents.

The closing date for applications is 12noon on the 28th March 2012.
