Researcher in Quality-Centric Software and Data Engineering (2 posts), Fixed-term for up to 3 years, Grade 8: Salary £38,511 – £45,954 p.a.

The "ALIGNED: Quality-Centric Software and Data Engineering" project, led by Professor Jim Davies, has an opportunity for two Researchers to work in the area of model-driven engineering and semantic technologies, working on the curation and evolution of linked data and software assets. The project is hosted within the Programming Languages and Software Engineering Research Group, led by Professor Jeremy Gibbons.

You would be contributing to the research project plan, working in collaboration with other staff associated with the project, both in Oxford (in the Department of Computer Science and the Institute of Social and Cultural Anthropology) and at Trinity College Dublin, Leipzig University, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Semantic Web Company (Vienna), and Wolters Kluwer (Cologne).

The primary selection criteria are strong design and development skills in object-oriented and functional programming, representation and manipulation of semi-structured data, and model transformation, together with a proven track record of relevant publications.  Applicants should have a PhD in Computer Science.

The posts, which are full-time appointments, are funded by the European Union Horizon 2020 programme and are available until 31st January 2018, starting as soon as possible. They both have a salary on the University grade 08S scale (currently £38,511 to £45,954). This includes membership of the University Superannuation Scheme (USS) and has an annual leave entitlement of 38 days per year (inclusive of all public holidays and university closed periods).
