Interests

  • Quantum algorithms and complexity
  • Many-body physics
  • Beyond worst-case performance of quantum algorithms

I am interested in the complexity of problems that come up in quantum many-body physics, and in (quantum) algorithms that -- where possible -- solve them. This includes trying to understand what properties of a system allow for (quantum) algorithms to unravel their physics efficiently.

Biography

I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Quantum Algorithms and Complexity Group led by Dr Sergii Strelchuk and Dr Sathya Subramanian. I received my PhD in quantum information theory from TU Delft, advised by Barbara Terhal. Prior to that I studied (theoretical) physics at TU Delft and University of Cambridge.
