Biography

I am final year doctoral student working in the area of localization techniques for robots in cluttered environments. For my thesis I demonstated the novel application of distributed multi-hop localization techniques in localizing robots in cluttered obstacle-prone environments, in lieu of single hop localization that yeilds large positional errors. I developed localizer placement algorithms for improving the localization accuracy of multi-hop DV-Distance technique which leads to a fewer, more practical required number of localizers. I have also developed a novel technique to characterize NLOS distance bias via the analysis of clutter topologies.

I am part of the AASN4IP project. Previously, I did a Masters in Computer Science from SUNY Buffalo.
