Interests
I am broadly interested in information processing in complex systems. My doctoral research uses the framework of process theories to address problems of causal inference in quantum and classical settings; some of this work bears on issues in the foundations of quantum physics. I maintain a side interest in discrete mathematical structures arising in supersymmetry.
Biography
I obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from the University of Chicago, followed by a Master of Advanced Study in mathematics from the University of Cambridge, where I was a member of Trinity College. For a year in between, I worked as a researcher in theoretical physics at Brown University.
