Biography
Wil is a DPhil student at the Department of Computer Science and Reuben College, focusing on cybersecurity and more specifically applied cryptography. His research explores ways to improve the security of cryptographic protocols, particularly in scenarios where cryptographic keys are compromised. Previously, he worked on the cryptanalysis of Authenticated Encryption with Associated Data (AEAD) stream ciphers submitted to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) lightweight cryptography standardisation project. His work aims to bridge theory and practice, contributing to the development of more resilient cryptographic systems.
