Abstract
The data left by users interacting with websites holds important insight into user behaviour patterns. This talk will detail insights and challenges in understanding how content is shared between speakers of different languages on two user-generated content platforms: Twitter and Wikipedia. The sharing of content has important implications for the design of user generated content platforms, for organizations and companies wishing to share information across languages, and for the amount and variety of information available to users.
